Blood Song ~ Cat Adams

Bodyguard Celia Graves has definitely accepted her share of weird assignments, both human and supernatural. But her newest job takes the cake. Guarding a Prince from terrorists and religious fundamentalists is hard enough, but it seems like the entire supernatural world is after this guy too. When she is betrayed by those she is employed to help, and everything goes horribly wrong, Celia wakes to find herself transformed.
Neither human nor vampire, Celia has become an Abomination—something that should not exist—and now both human and supernatural alike want her dead. With the help of a few loyal friends—a sexy mage, a powerful werewolf, and a psychic cop—Celia does her best to stay alive. On the run from her enemies, Celia must try to discover who is behind her transformation…before it’s too late.

Next up!

Deliaha wakes up with Vincents arm slung around her body and his other arm under her, wrapped in his warm loving embrace. She gently and slowly gets out of bed and heads towards the shower, right as the hot water touches her face, all her worries, fears and torments melt away. When she walks out and looks into the steamed mirror she sees her scar is gone and she is holding her head with a new type of strength and beauty. She looks over every inch of her face and settles on her eyes, the blue speckles seem to sparkle with desire and light and the violet is devestatingly breathtaking, the last time she was so amazed with those strange and glorious eyes was about 117 years ago. 117 years ago when she became a strong, powerful vampire, The night Vincent changed her. She laid on the moist grass outside the mansion where she was attending a grand ball. She had been so excited, this was her big night, the night she would be introduced into the social scene of balls, gowns, and wealth. She wore a deep red gown the covered all of her arms only revealing her delicate, small hands, with her neck completely exposed from the square low cut neckline of the dress. She wore modest face makeup and had her dark curls up in clips. She had been dancing and swaying all night, when a man in all black caught her eye, He had dark eyes but pale white skin and a defined strong body. She knew as a woman in society she would not approach this elegant man, but soon enough he was asking her for her hand to dance after dance. He whispered in her ear to follow him, she knew she should not have but he was so beautiful and charming, she was under his spell. He lead her to the yard where he slowly made his way to her heart with his flatterly and soulful deep eyes. He leaned in to kiss her, she closed her eyes waiting what felt like ages, finally his lips met her, they were cold as ice but soft as pillows and inviting. He slowly pulled away, and looked into her eyes, his expression softened and she saw his mood lighten, when she looked into his eyes and saw desire and lust, but also passion and need. He leaned in once again for a kiss and this time when their lips met his were more desperate as if he needed hers, he trailed down her cheek to her neck slowly kissing up and down her veins, her heart was racing, she could hear it in her ears, then she felt a sharp pinch and all of a sudden she became weak and lost her footing. He quickly, without looking up, scooped her up held her, she was terrified, but in her mind she could hear a voice telling her she was safe, his voice, telling her he would not hurt her, She tried to fight, she shrieked and sqriumed, but after a couple minutes she had no power to move. Then he stopped and laid her on the moist grass, he looked into her eyes, he had slattering of red in his dark eyes around his pupil, his eyes were so alluring she could not look away, this was all she saw. Then she felt dizzy and light-headed, she tried to sit up but it was as if her muscles would not listen, colder with every minute, she started shivering and shaking. What was happening to her? What had he done to her? The next moment She was against him he was looking down at her in concern, he was whispering something she could not hear, but she thought she saw his lip mouth im sorry and please forgive me, it will be over soon. Colder and colder into a freezing abyss, her eyes rolled to the back of her head and she shook violently, then it stopped the pain-staking cold was replaced with a new pain, a burning pain but not in her body in her throat. She couldn't breathe, she couldn't think, hear, or talk, she was so thristy she knew excatly what she needed but would not let herself say it. How could a beautiful young woman want a cruel disgusting substance, no matter how she felt about it she needed it and was lusting over it, it felt as if her life dependent on it. With every minute it got worse and worse the pain was horrible, then two sharp pricks slide from her gums, Canines, she had fangs like an animal, thats when she knew she was no longer human, she was something of a whole different kind. Vincent took his sharp tooth and ran it across his wrist drawing a sweet smelling liquid that dripped from his light skin,he lifted her head to his wrist and she drank and drank, it felt amazing, she drank until she felt she was stuffed beyond belief. When she finally could move her body she sat up and saw a world she never saw before, colors were more vivid, smells more distintive, and she could hear almost everything moving around her. She caught a glimpse in a nearby window and thats when she saw her eyes, the eyes that could stop anyone in their tracks, and that were so strange even she could not believe what she could control with a glance, she always had dangerously beautiful eyes but now they shone like moonlight. She saw a girl that was ravenousing she did not even recongize herself, Vincent looked at her with worry and compassion, she gave him a smile to tell him she was ok, and she was enjoying this change of life so far, his eyes grew happier and he spoke only two words, He said You're Beautiful.

Torment Review

Amazingg! I loved this book, it answered alot of questions about angels and angelic ways. Most of the old characters make an appearance and new characters too! Luce is more rebelous and on her own, sturring much trouble for Daniel while he is trying to protect her. Daniel was skecthy and would not answer centain questions for Luce and you thought he had left her, while the whole time he was always looking over her. I felt for Luce and knew why she was being so stubborn, Of course True love never diess...
I give a 4.5 out of 5 for Torment, i loved it! If you havent bought it yet, go get it!

5 Stars- I Highly Recommend This Book!

Ethan Wate used to think of Gatlin, the small Southern town he had always called home, as a place where nothing ever changed. Then he met mysterious newcomer Lena Duchannes, who revealed a secret world that had been hidden in plain sight all along. A Gatlin that harbored ancient secrets beneath its moss-covered oaks and cracked sidewalks. A Gatlin where a curse has marked Lena's family of powerful supernaturals for generations. A Gatlin where impossible, magical, life-altering events happen.

Sometimes life-ending.

Together they can face anything Gatlin throws at them, but after suffering a tragic loss, Lena starts to pull away, keeping secrets that test their relationship. And now that Ethan's eyes have been opened to the darker side of Gatlin, there's no going back. Haunted by strange visions only he can see, Ethan is pulled deeper into his town's tangled history and finds himself caught up in the dangerous network of underground passageways endlessly crisscrossing the South, where nothing is as it seems.

Crescendo

Nora should have known her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described as anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy, Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.

The further Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim bloodline has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?
